Softer action blanks make poor marker rods as they diffuse feel and dampen vibrations. Although lightweight and well balanced this special carbon blank is exceptionally rigid and designed to magnify and transmit vibrations from the lead all the way back into the hand.
When used in conjunction with a braided reel line the tactile feedback on contours and the nature of the bottom is truly excellent.
The fast taper blank is equally as comfortable casting heavy leads and large marker floats at extreme range as it is using lighter setups at short to medium range.
